4-channel 100 kHz 24-bit simultaneous sampling bipolar picoammeter series with 10/100/1000 Mbit Ethernet connectivity and integrated bias voltage source
The TetrAMM – e.g. “Tetra AMMeter” – is a 4-channel picoammeter device dedicated to accurate and fast low current measurements.
The presence of a fast Gigabit Ethernet Interface and an SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) link allow for very high-throughput data acquisition. Each channel is sampled independently and simultaneously at a maximum frequency of 100 kHz with a 24-bit resolution.
The integrated Bias Voltage source, ranging from a full-bipolar ±30 V version to factory-configurable high-voltage output rating and polarity, can be used to bias the connected detecting system. Bias Voltage output ratings, beside the bipolar ±30 V model, are 500V or -500V, 2 kV or – 2 kV and 4 kV or -4 kV (polarity is factory-configurable only).
The Bias Voltage integrated module is equipped with output voltage and current readbacks, as well as with protection features against over-current, thus protecting the detecting system from excessive power drawing.
CAEN High-Voltage technology is integrated into this device for the High-Voltage models.
On-board processing of data allows to obtain measurements on a user-defined sampling period, with minimum time steps of 10 µs.
The trigger output capability allows the user to detect a signal crossing a specific threshold. The trigger out functionality is very useful for beam loss monitor and machine protection system applications, but it can also be used as the trigger function of common laboratory oscilloscopes. In fact, there are two mode of operations: SINGLE (the trigger has to be re-armed by the user) and CONTINUOUS (the trigger is automatically re-armed). The user can also select the POLARITY of the signal crossing (RISE or FALL) and the speed (FAST or SLOW). When the speed is set as FAST only one sample crossing the threshold will generate the trigger signal, while in SLOW speed the signal is averaged before being compared with the threshold (with a number of samples that can be configured by the user), resulting in a soft trigger.
The TetrAMM Oscilloscope software series allows customers to obtain instant and accurate results after connecting the TetrAMM device directly to the detector.
Different configurations for detector geometry, measuring range, sampling rate and other parameters can be configured directly via this free software.
