SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Location: Trieste, Italy or Sežana, Slovenia
Function: Software Engineer
Position Type: Full-Time

Position Overview
We are looking for a software engineer to give a major contribution in the development of our high-end products, from fast or high-precision acquisition/interface boards to the digital power supplies. The candidates will be inserted in a young team-oriented environment and will be given the freedom to approach different problems and implementation.
The candidate will participate in the development of new software and features for our new line of power supplies (running Xilinx Zynq SoC with Yocto Linux), Linux drivers and various data acquisition/processing application on the mTCA platform. Our applications combine the power of C and C++ with simplicity of Python on the software side. The candidate will also participate in the development of GUI software for PCs using Qt framework.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or comparable
- Familiarity with GNU/Linux
- Knowledge of C, C++ and Python
Preferred Skills
- Experience with development of Linux drivers
- Familiarity with Yocto build system
- Experience with Git and Jenkins
- Some understanding of network protocols
- Experience with Qt framework

FPGA DEVELOPER

Function: Firmware Engineer

Position Overview
We are looking for an FPGA engineer to give a major contribution in the development of our high-end products, from fast or high-precision acquisition/interface boards to the digital power supplies. The candidates will be inserted in a young team-oriented environment and will be given the freedom to approach different problems and implementation.
The candidate will participate in the development of new features on FPGA-side of Xilinx Zynq system in our power-supplies and new application on our high performance board in mTCA format. The candidate will be responsible for writing Verilog modules, writing the corresponding testbenches and validating/debugging the code on FPGA. As significant part of our new designs use Vivado HLS, we would therefore expect from a candidate a strong willingness to learn new technologies.
Requirements
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or comparable
- Knowledge or experience with FPGA and uC development
- Knowledge or experience with Verilog or VHDL
- Good understanding of electronics
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Vivado HLS
- Experience with SystemVerilog
- Some understanding of network protocols, PCIe protocol
- Experience with Git
Experience or background in the R&D field is strongly preferred.

POWER ELECTRONICS DESIGNER

Function: Hardware Engineer

Position Overview
We are looking for an hardware engineer to participate in the development of our digital power supplies. The candidates will be inserted in a young team-oriented environment and will be given the freedom to approach different problems and implementation.
The candidate will participate in the design of new power supply units and customisation of actual catalogue products. AC/DC and DC/DC conversion will be the basic elements to be designed (from simulation to schematics to possible PCB design) for high-performance units to be used in research facilities worldwide or in the high-end industrial market.
Requirements
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or comparable
- Knowledge or experience in power electronics and power conversion
- Experience in the use of design and simulation tools
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Altium Designer
- Understanding or experience in digital control electronics
- Experience with programming
Experience or background in the R&D field is strongly preferred.
