Due to the worldwide pandemic travel restrictions, the 12th International Particle Accelerator Conference – IPAC’21 will be held in virtual format from May 24-28th, 2021.
IPAC’21 is being organized by the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM – Centro Nacional de Pesquisa em Energia e Materiais), located in Campinas, Brazil. This will be the first time IPAC will be held in South America.
The conference was planned for the Brazilian city of Iguassu Falls but, unfortunately, due to the present situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in the globe, with many countries heading into a new outbreak phase, the Organizing Committee has made the painful decision for a wholly virtual event.
IPAC is the main international event to discuss the latest achievements in the science and technology of Particle Accelerators, promoting collaboration among scientists, engineers, technicians, students and industrial partners across the globe. This is a most exciting time in the field, with many new projects and challenges leading to innovation into the near future.
The CAEN ELS team will take part to this first-time event of a “virtual” IPAC, hoping to see all of you members of the community in presence once this situation will calm down.
See you soon and stay safe!
