The CAEN High Voltage performance and reliability in AMC format and MTCA support now available!
The HV-PANDA is a double-width Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC) board designed as MTCA.4 carrier that houses four CAEN high-voltage channels rated at maximum 6kV@1mA (6W).
The HV-PANDA reflects the AMC.0 R.2 with RTM extension to interface HV channels with the MTCA backplane. The front panel has independent interlocks for each channel and an additional power connector (12 V) to feed the requested power in application where high voltages and currents are needed simultaneously (within the rated values).
Semiconductor detectors, gaseous detectors and vacuum-photomultiplier are typical uses of such HV devices.
Each HV-PANDA AMC board carries four channels of HV and provides a common interlock possibility to switch the channels securely off.

Channels with different output ratings can be installed in the same AMC board.
The available options are HV channels rated at 6 kV @ 1 mA (6 W), 4 kV @ 3 mA (9 W) and at 500 V @ 1.5 W. Both polarities (positive and negative) can be factory configured for the boards.
An external connector placed on the front panel allows feeding additional power to the board to simultaneously draw the rated power on all channels.

Graphical User Interface and drivers available
The HV-PANDA board is provided with drivers and a GUI that allows to easily control and monitor all channel parameters in a straightforward way.
