Position Overview

We are looking for a Business Development Manager in Germany to expand our sales team here and worldwide.

The goal is to give a major contribution to the business development for Germany, The Netherlands and Austria, selling into new prospects as well as maintaining and developing existing customer relationships to ensure high renewal and customer satisfaction levels.

The position will be closely linked to our German Branch Office, established in 2016 with the perspective to take over the responsibility for our sales regions Germany, The Netherlands and Austria in between a time frame of 5 years.

The primary workplace will be a home office, with occasional short-term assignments at the company headquarters in Trieste (Italy).

CAEN ELS is a member of the global particle accelerator community and its product portfolio covers high-performance magnet power supplies (resistive and superconducting), high-precision 0-FLUCS current measurement devices, beamline electronic instrumentation and components for FMC and MicroTCA applications.

Besides our standard devices we are offering tailored and custom-made solutions for the physical research community as well as for high end industrial applications.

Since CAEN ELS supplies high-tech solutions, its typical customer is a highly-specialized engineer/physicist/technician, this requiring a strong technical background as well as analysis, communication and problem-solving skills in order for a technical discussion to take place.

The candidate will be inserted in a young, team-oriented environment and will be given the freedom to approach different situations and circumstances while bringing her/his own contribution.

The candidate will identify current and future customer requirements by establishing personal relationships with potential and actual customers, by means of on-site visits and participation in industrial fairs and scientific conferences as an exhibitor as well as business trips organized on her/his own or together with CAEN ELS’ distributors.

The candidate will be then capable to provide products/services/equipment and engineering information by answering customers questions and requests; prepare cost estimation and eventually managing projects when a product customization is required, with strong cooperation with the R&D department for the technical discussion as well as CAEN ELS’ administration for budget and personnel allocation.

The candidate will be required to travel both nationally and internationally (EU and extra EU); on average this happens no more than one week per month. In the beginning the candidate will be accompanied by other members of the sales team while she/he will be completely independent within a time span of six – twelve months.

We welcome applications from all qualified individuals, regardless of gender (f/m/x).

Requirements

  • Experience in electronics and technical know-how;
  • Good knowledge of the English and German language, especially technical wise;
  • Negotiation and social problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally.
